This week's Your Creative Connection theme is A RAINBOW FOR YOU. I had trouble figuring out the best way to include all the colours of a rainbow on one project without it looking over-the-top. So instead, I created two cards that, combined, cover the spectrum of colours from Real Red to Night of Navy!
Through Stampin’ Up!, I was fortunate to earn the Mediterranean Incentive Trip in May 2016. It was our first-ever trip to Europe and the furthest we had ever travelled, so Stephen and I decided to extend our holiday to include a week in Paris, in spring! The Parisian Blossoms Suite was the perfect choice to capture our memories of Paris.
UPDATED WEDNESDAY, 1 APRIL: On Tuesday morning, 31 March, I made the difficult decision that while we are Alert Level 4, I will not be placing any orders for Stampin' Up! product or couriering any items, in response to the New Zealand Government announcement that couriers should only be used for essential products. On Wednesday, 1 April, Stampin' Up! decided to hold all Stampin' Up! shipments into New Zealand during our Alert Level 4. That means that you can still place orders, which will be prepared for shipment and stored in the distribution centre until shipping into New Zealand resumes...
This week's Your Creative Connection theme is GIFT CARD FOR ANY OCCASION. I took this challenge literally and created a z-fold card that holds a gift card, and used the Lovely Lily Pad stamp set, Lily Pad Dies, Lily Impressions Designer Series Paper, and Metallic Baker's Twine & Sequins. I love how they all coordinate!
For the March Workshops, we created this stand-up card using the Lily Impressions Designer Series Paper, available as a free gift with a qualifying order during Sale-A-Bration. These beautiful designer paper patterns have impressionist-style images on one side, shown on the two outer panels of this "thinking of you" card. On the reverse of the designer paper is either pallet-knife applied paint or a watercolour-washed canvas texture, shown on the middle panel.
