There are so many special moments in life worth celebrating — from welcoming a new baby to weddings, anniversaries, and everything in between. Handmade cards make those moments even more meaningful, so I’m delighted to be joining the Creativity Abounds Design Team this month as we share our Life Events Tutorial Bundle.
Each month, our international team of Stampin’ Up! demonstrators creates a themed collection of tutorials, and this time we’re focusing on those milestone moments we love to celebrate. This beautiful bundle includes 13 exclusive projects, each with step-by-step instructions to guide you through. You can receive the full tutorial bundle FREE with a $100+ order in March (excluding shipping), or purchase it outright for $25.
To celebrate the release, we’re also hosting a Creativity Abounds Blog Hop, filled with even more inspiration. Be sure to hop along — there are so many gorgeous ideas waiting for you!
Let’s talk about my project…
It must be my stage of life, because I have many friends and family who's children are now welcoming little ones — so baby cards have definitely been on my mind lately! It’s no surprise that both my tutorial project and today’s blog hop card are sweet “Welcome Little One” designs.
This card began with the idea of creating a soft, clustered focal point using gentle, dreamy colours from the Cute as a Bug Suite.

Bundles: Sweet Bugs Stamp Set + Sweet Bugs Dies (photopolymer: 167002). Ink: Crumb Cake (167116), Petal Pink (147108), Fresh Freesia (155611), VersaMark (102283). Card/Paper: Crumb Cake (121685), Petal Pink (147009), Fresh Freesia (155614), Soft Sea Foam (148012), Basic White (166781), Basic White Thick (159230), Cute as a Bug 12" x 12" Designer Series Paper (166994). Accessories: Ladybug Garden Epoxy Shapes (167005), Linen Thread (104199), White Embossing Powder (Basics WOW! Embossing Powder: 165679). Tools: Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine (149653), Stylish Shapes Dies (159183), Heat Tool (129056), Sponge Daubers (133773), Mini Stampin' Dimensionals (144108).
I started with a 6.5 cm (2-1/2”) stitched circle in Crumb Cake cardstock, softly daubered around the edges with Crumb Cake ink. Onto this, I layered the sweetest die-cut elements — mushrooms in Petal Pink and Basic White, stems in Soft Sea Foam, and delicate flowers in Basic White, lightly daubered with Fresh Freesia ink. The colour combination is perfect for baby cards, and the daubering adds a lovely softness.
And the details… how cute are they?! The tiny die-cut butterfly and snail, and those little dew drops on the mushrooms — they really bring the whole scene to life.
To finish the focal cluster, I added two more softly daubered circles in Petal Pink and Fresh Freesia, a light flourish of Linen Thread, and a small flagged banner heat-embossed in white with “HELLO”. Then, all the elements were layered onto a Basic White Thick card base, with an 8 cm (3”) strip of speckled patterned paper from the Cute as a Bug Designer Series Paper pack to ground the design.

Inside the Life Events Tutorial Bundle, you’ll find another baby card from me — this one featuring the adorable Woolly Friends Bundle in Balmy Blue and Daffodil Delight. I can’t wait for you to give it a try!
