Woven Threads Thank You Card

I am so excited because today is the release of the new 2019-2020 Annual Catalogue, which has a fabulous selection of exciting new stamps, coordinating tools and accessories.  It has everything you need whether you are new to stamping, an enthusiastic card maker, an avid memory keeper, or seasoned crafter.

The colours and designs in the Hugs from Shelli Kit are gorgeous and I caved. Yes, I caved and purchased the kit and don't regret it! You see, it wasn't just the contents that appealed, it was the time-poor me that decided to use the Hugs from Shelli Kit as my thank you cards for orders placed during this past month. In one evening I created 36 thank you cards! So, I am going to share the four gorgeous card designs from the kit, but be aware that they all are stamped with "Grateful For You". There are other versatile sentiments included in the kit that you could use for your cards, including "Hello Friend", "Thank You Dear Friend", and "Hugs For You".

4 June - 2019-2020 Annual Catalogue released!

I am a sucker for watercolour-washed backgrounds and a lot of my cards include this technique. It's such a quick and simple way to add a splash of colour that is irregular and fun! This birthday card, which features the Piece of Cake stamp set, has a watercolour wash of Bermuda Bay ink over Shimmery White card stock. The trick to getting a lovely "even" watercolour is to start with a wet Aqua Painter and lay down a puddle of water and it's into this you add the ink.

In April I attended a Stampin' Up! convention, called OnStage, which included fabulous product demonstrations with some really great techniques. One presentation included an upright or vertical z-fold card with a difference. Bronwyn Eastley shared how she included a stand mechanism using Window Sheets, which gives the card a lovely pop-up. Here's my version of Bronwyn's Vertical Z-Fold Card using the gorgeous Beauty Abounds stamp set...

about me

I am a stay-at-home mum with three teenagers and a wonderfully supportive husband.  I love to craft, however, stamping and card making is my passion.  I also enjoy extending card-making and stamping techniques to create 3-D projects and gifts.

I was introduced to Stampin' Up!® over ten years ago and I quickly fell in love with their high-quality, coordinating products and, soon after, became an Independent Stampin' Up!® Demonstrator.  I enjoy sharing what I know with others and inspiring their stamping creativity, so I hold regular workshops in my home focusing on the fabulous papercraft products Stampin' Up! has to offer.

I would love to hear from you.  Don't hesitate to contact me if you want the latest catalogue, need papercraft supplies (we ship nationwide), wish to attend an upcoming event, or would like information about joining my team.

My youngest nephew has just past a milestone... he turned five and started school today! He recently had a fun bug-themed birthday party, so I created this cute birthday card for him using the Touches of Texture stamp set...

Happy Mother's Day

Another masculine card using the fabulous Classic Garage Suite. This one was for my hubby's birthday...

I had a lot of fun with the Classic Garage Suite when I created a card for my son's 13th birthday. I began with the idea of using the fun fold from my Mother's Day card to create a masculine version of it. Instead of using the car stamp from the Geared Up Garage stamp set, I decided use the motorbike from the Classic Garage Designer Series Paper for the focal point...
