One of the many projects we created with the Painted Collage Suite is this 6" x 8" double layout, and what I love most about it is the base page – it is the Textured Canvas Specialty Paper, and it has a subtle linen finish that is simply divine!

Overlaying the base page are lovely layers of Painted Collage Designer Series Paper. You can see that the bottom edge of the patterned paper on the left layout and the top angled edge on the right layout have both been torn. I have also stamped the scribbles from the Notes of Collage Bundle in Petal Pink ink and Cajun Craze ink directly onto the patterned paper. These techniques fit these wonderfully abstract designs, adding depth and texture to the scrapbooking page.

You might think that the “I’M HERE FOR YOU” and “THANKS FOR PUTTING UP WITH ME” are strange titles to be adding to the layout. But what you don’t know yet is that there is a third layout, and it has the story – and once you know that, it all makes sense!

Underneath the Flip Flap on the third layout, it talks about me spotting an ad on Facebook about the Te Awa Night Light event in Cambridge, and my hubby said, “Why not!” These layouts show some of the photos I took and share how grateful I am that he went with my ideas and stayed in step with me along the way.
