Who says the elegant All Wrapped Up Suite is only for Christmas? Not me! I’ve given my All Wrapped Up Christmas Card a birthday makeover – same suite, same wrapped-gift design, but a completely different mood. Here’s how I made it…

I started with the background. I embossed the light side of Bubble Bath Two-Tone cardstock with the Softly Woven 3D Embossing Folder, and oh my, it’s lovely. This highly detailed folder leaves a subtle linen texture – soft, elegant, and the perfect quiet backdrop for the little present on the front.

The gift itself starts with an 8.5 cm (3-1/4”) square of All Wrapped Up Specialty Designer Series Paper in the green-blue bows design – that’s the gift wrapping. To finish it, I added a silver faux bow. The ribbon is made from strips of Silver Foil, and the large spotted bow from the Elegantly Wrapped Bundle was heat-embossed with Silver Embossing Powder on more Silver Foil, die-cut, and popped up with a Stampin’ Dimensional.

Tucked behind the bow is foliage from the Wrapped Greenery Bundle, stamped in Secret Sea ink, with berries added in Melon Mambo ink for a little pop of colour. The finishing touch is a cute “for you” tag, heat embossed in silver again, this time on Secret Sea cardstock.

Just like the Christmas version, this decorative front hides a sweet surprise. Lift the flap, and you’ll find a pocket that’s just the right size for a gift card. There’s no bow inside this time – instead, I finished the pocket with more of that bow-patterned paper and a bordering strip of Silver Foil. A birthday card and gift, all in one – how fun is that?!
