Creating bright, playful projects for children is always so much fun, so I’m excited to be joining the Creativity Abounds Design Team this month as we share our Kids Projects Tutorial Bundle.
Each month, our international team of Stampin’ Up! demonstrators creates a themed collection of tutorials, and this time we’re focusing on simple techniques and fun folds that are perfect for children’s cards. This fabulous bundle includes 13 exclusive projects, each with step-by-step instructions to guide you through. You can receive the full tutorial bundle FREE with a $100+ order in April (excluding shipping), or purchase it outright for $25.
To celebrate the release, we’re also hosting a Creativity Abounds Blog Hop filled with even more inspiration. Be sure to hop along — there are so many fun ideas waiting for you!
Let’s talk about my project…
When planning for this month’s theme, I had two immediate thoughts:
- I couldn’t go past the adorable Cutest Crew Bundle, which is perfect for children’s cards.
- The Square Snippets Designer Series Paper is bursting with bright, playful patterns.
So here is what I created…

Bundles: Cutest Crew Stamp Set + Cutest Crew Dies (photopolymer: 167149). Ink: Tuxedo Black Memento (132708). Stampin' Blends: Medium Light (159463), Crumb Cake (154882), Smoky Slate (154904), Pecan Pie (161674), Pretty In Pink (163824), Granny Apple Green (154885), Petal Pink (154893), Pool Party (154894). Card/Paper: Pool Party (124391), Pretty In Pink (163794), Basic White (166781), Basic White Thick (159230), Square Snippets 12" x 12" Designer Series Paper (166993). Tools: Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine (149653), Stylish Shapes Dies (159183), Stampin' Dimensionals (104430).
I started by trimming one of the 4” x 4” squares from the Square Snippets Designer Series Paper down to 3-3/4” x 3-3/4”. You could use any of the fun designs in this pack, but I chose the cheerful Pool Party chevron pattern. I adhered this square to a 4” x 4” piece of Pool Party cardstock, then attached it to the card front.
How cute are those puppies? They were stamped onto a strip of Basic White cardstock, coloured with Stampin’ Blends, and added to the card front along with the stamped sentiment.

Of course, I had to make a second version too! This time, I used another patterned square from the Square Snippets Designer Series Paper and paired it with the playful cats from the Cutest Crew Bundle.
But wait… there’s more!
Inside both cards is a fun pop-up surprise that is sure to delight. In this month’s Kids Projects Tutorial Bundle, I share exactly how to create these cheerful cards, including an easy way to add the pop-up inside.
I can’t wait for you to give it a try!
