At the end of last month, I hosted our bi-monthly Scrapbooking Escape, and we spent the day creating with the beautiful Currently Loving Scrapbooking Workshop Kit.  It was such a fun, relaxed day of creativity!  Today I’m sharing one of the three double-page layouts I completed.

The kit’s soft colours and rich green tones were perfect for capturing memories from a camping holiday with our young children.  We have so many special memories of free camping at our friend’s farm in Mahoenui—simple, happy days surrounded by nature.

The first page shows our campsite tucked away in the middle of nowhere, with beautiful green pasture all around.  The white photo mats really help the images stand out, and I love all the thoughtful details included in the kit.  One of the kit suggestions is to use the circular elements as a guide for paper piercing—and while mine is a little wonky (practice needed!), it adds such a soft, subtle background detail to the layout.

The second page continues the story, with more photos from our time on the farm.  I’ve finished it with coordinating accents from the kit, tying everything together beautifully.

This is just one of three double-page layouts I created at the March Scrapbooking Escape, and it was such a wonderful day—creating together, sharing ideas, and enjoying time around the crafting table.
