Weekend Adventures Scrapbooking Layout

I so enjoyed using the Weekend Adventures Scrapbooking Workshop Kit to document our young family’s outing to the Karangahake Gorge.  If you haven’t already seen them, you can catch up on the first two-page spread HERE and the second spread HERE.  And now, I’m excited to share the third and final double layout…

Weekend Adventures Scrapbooking Kit (167315) - $78.00
Makes three two-page 12" x 12" scrapbook spreads

The first page of this spread uses beautiful, coordinating patterned paper to create texture and a sense of movement.  We adhered 3" x 1" strips in a soft angled pattern across the bottom of the page, layering them in a brick-like formation, three rows deep.  Some strips came precut in the kit, while others we trimmed from the exclusive Designer Series Paper included.  It’s a simple but effective way to build a fun, eye-catching background.

The second page features a clean, repeatable design that's great for other memory-keeping projects.  We took a sheet of 12" x 12" patterned paper, sliced it diagonally, and adhered one half to the background.  Just like on the first page, more 3" x 1" paper strips were added beneath the photos to create continuity across the layout.

The three double-page layouts from the Weekend Adventures Kit were all created at a recent Scrapbooking Escape—a day set aside to create, connect, and make progress on our albums.  The next Scrapbooking Escape is coming up in August, and I’d love for you to join us!  Whether you're looking for inspiration, motivation, or just a fun day out with like-minded crafters, this is your invitation to come along.
