Here is the second double-page layout I created using the Weekend Adventures Scrapbooking Workshop Kit—a continuation of the story from our small family’s day out at the beautiful Karangahake Gorge. I completed this layout at our recent Scrapbooking Escape, and I love how it complements the first spread.

Weekend Adventures Scrapbooking Kit (167315) - $78.00
Makes three two-page 12" x 12" scrapbook spreads
There are two things I particularly enjoy about using the Scrapbooking Workshop Kits.
First, the inspiring and clever layout ideas, which are easy to adapt. I especially love this design: a focal 6" x 4" photo with a fun cluster of embellishments along the right edge. This layout has a pre-printed element from the kit that adds to the outdoor adventure theme—it’s placed along the photo’s edge. But could easily be swapped out for extra journaling space if needed.

The second thing I appreciate about these kits is the little “extra” touches they suggest to elevate your pages. For example, the Weekend Adventures Scrapbooking Workshop Kit recommends adding Linen Thread as a textured detail. You may have noticed a small flourish of thread on the first double-layout I recently shared. On this page, I’ve added two strands through the tag’s eyelet—subtle, but it adds beautiful movement and texture.
The second page of this layout carries over the gorgeous green forest-themed patterned paper from the first. This side continues the story with four 3" x 4" photos and a journaling circle for capturing more details. I really appreciate that the journaling blocks come pre-printed with lines—it makes my handwriting tidier and looks more polished!

This double layout might be my favourite from the Weekend Adventures Scrapbooking Workshop Kit, and I’ll definitely be reusing this page design again. I still have one more layout from this kit to share with you—stay tuned for that next week!
