The new 2026–2028 In Colors continue to bring a lovely balance of softness and freshness to the Stampin’ Up! colour collection. So far, we’ve looked at Crisp Cantaloupe and Peaceful Pine—today, let’s dive into the cool and dreamy tones of HYDRANGEA HUE.

Hydrangea Hue is a soft, cool blue with subtle lavender undertones and a floral-inspired feel. It sits somewhere between Balmy Blue and Highland Heather—deeper and more muted than Balmy Blue, yet softer and more blue-leaning than Highland Heather.
I featured this stunning colour on a thank you card showcasing two beautiful new Designer Series Paper packs: Artisan Sketched Garden and Bloom Boutique.

Stamps: Scalloped Blooms (photopolymer: 167639). Ink: Basic Black Hybrid (166648). Stampin' Blends: Hydrangea Hue (167666), Peaceful Pine (167668). Card/Paper: Basic White (166781), Artisan Sketech Garden 12" x 12" Designer Series Paper (167752), Bloom Boutique 12" x 12" Designer Series Paper (167637). Tools: Stampin’ Dimensionals (104430).
This card layout is wonderfully versatile, and you may spot variations of it around the internet. I began with two 3” (7.5 cm) square pieces of patterned paper, offset slightly for interest before adhering them to the card base. One piece is a soft monochromatic print from the Bloom Boutique pack, while the other is a bold black-and-white pattern from Artisan Sketched Garden.
Speaking of the Artisan Sketched Garden Designer Series Paper… one sheet in the pack features a gorgeous collection of hand-drawn vases, pots, and urns overflowing with florals—exactly what you see on the front of this card!

Twelve 12" x 12" sheets: 2 each of 6 double-sided designs
I carefully fussy cut one of the floral arrangements, then brought it to life using Hydrangea Hue Stampin’ Blends for the flowers and Peaceful Pine Stampin’ Blends for the leaves.
I loved creating this card so much that I couldn’t stop at one! The layout worked beautifully with another of the new In Colors too, so I created a second version in Crisp Cantaloupe—proof of just how versatile this design can be.
Hydrangea Hue has such a soft, peaceful elegance, making it perfect for florals, subtle backgrounds, and delicate layered projects. Next time, we’ll take a closer look at the gentle charm of Barely Blush. Until then… happy crafting!
