This season’s new In Colors are filled with soft, nature-inspired tones that feel both fresh and timeless.  We’ve already explored the warm glow of Crisp Cantaloupe, and now it’s time to turn our attention to the earthy, calming tones of PEACEFUL PINE.

Peaceful Pine is a muted, earthy green with soft grey undertones and a calming, natural feel. Softer and more subdued than both Garden Green and Shaded Spruce, it has less intensity and a more relaxed, organic tone.

At the recent Catalogue Launch Party, one of our make-and-takes was this sweet altered Note Card, pairing glorious Peaceful Pine with the fresh warmth of Crisp Cantaloupe.

Exciting Times Stamp Set + Rounded Rectangle Punch Bundle (photopolymer: 167881) - $83.50

This card began as a standard Basic White Note Card, with the front folded back to create a fun little Z-Fold card.  The back panel features the striped patterned paper from the wonderfully versatile Painted Patterns Designer Series Paper in Peaceful Pine, while the front panel uses the lighter side of Crisp Cantaloupe Two-Tone cardstock.  I added that fabulous decorative frame from the Exciting Times stamp set, stamped in Crisp Cantaloupe.

Inside the frame sits the Happy Birthday sentiment, stamped in Peaceful Pine ink and punched out using the coordinating Rounded Rectangle Punch.  Then another favourite joins the party — the oh-so-versatile Three Banner Punch!  We “stretched” the punched banner by cutting it in half and adhering each end to either side of the sentiment for a fun layered look.

The finished sentiment was popped up on Stampin’ Dimensionals and adhered inside that decorative frame.
