Add some sparkle to your festive crafting with this beautiful and fun Christmas shaker card!  I recently shared a red-and-green version using the Pine Tree Trimmings Bundle and Tree Shaker Domes, and today’s project features the same layout—this time in rich, regal Pretty Peacock with touches of black, white, and gold.  It’s such a striking colour combination!

Just like the original design, this elegant shaker card starts with a simple foundation: a Pretty Peacock card base, a Basic White layer, and a subtle panel of the Modern Christmas Specialty Designer Series Paper.  You only see a sliver of the patterned paper, but it adds the perfect hint of texture behind the shaker panel.

Then comes the pièce de résistance—the shaker element itself.  Behind the Tree Shaker Dome is a small piece of Pretty Peacock cardstock, stamped with the coordinating Christmas tree in matching ink.  To make sure the tree stays beautifully “decorated,” even when the shaker pieces settle at the bottom, I added tiny dots of Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue and adhered a few Gold Shaker Stars directly onto the tree.

Once those were in place, I tipped a small pile of Gold Shaker Stars into the centre, adhered the Tree Shaker Dome over the top, and voilà—instant sparkle!

To complete the card, I created layered panels using the Party Banner Dies and added a scattering of Gold Shaker Stars across the front for extra shine.  I couldn’t resist decorating the inside of the card as well, with another stamped Pretty Peacock tree and a few more stars.
