A card-making friend recently celebrated her birthday, and I wanted to create something special to mark the occasion.  I took colouring inspiration from the Petal Arrangements Thank You Card I recently made, and designed this elegant birthday card in Blackberry Bliss, with delicate touches of gold.

Petal Arrangements Stamp Set (cling: 165961) - $57.00

This shaped card was created using the versatile layering frames from the Branching Out Dies.  On the front is a Protea flower, stamped from the Petal Arrangements stamp set.  Did you know that Petal Arrangements is a background stamp set that works like a jigsaw?  You can join the flowers together or pull them apart to stamp each one individually—so much fun!

The individual Protea flower was coloured with Blackberry Bliss, Petunia Pop, and Bubble Bath Stampin’ Blends, and the leaves with Lost Lagoon and Soft Sea Foam Blends.  A little hand-cutting, some gorgeous Gold Open Weave Trim behind the flower, and voila!

This beautiful card is a tri-fold design...

...and I used the Petal Arrangements stamp set as a whole to stamp and heat emboss that striking final panel.
