How cute is this llama?! He's from the Long Time No See stamp set, and you can stamp him as tall (or should I say long?) as you like. I gave my llama a cosy scarf—brrr, it's chilly here right now!—and a nice long neck before popping him on the front of a fun-fold birthday card.

Long Time No See Stamp Set (photopolymer: 166189) - $42.00
This fun fold is called a Dutch Door card, and it’s so simple to create while delivering loads of wow-factor. Here are two ways you can make it:
- Start with a quarter sheet of cardstock for your card base. Then, cut a strip of matching cardstock that's twice the width and half the height of the card base. Fold it in half and adhere it to the bottom of the card base.
OR
- Begin with a standard half sheet of cardstock and fold it in half for your card base. Then, simply trim off the top half of the card front.
Once your base is ready, add a front panel (sized to suit your focal image) using Stampin’ Dimensionals. Easy—and done!

For my focal image, I stamped the llama’s head in Tuxedo Black Memento ink, then added the scarf below it, and finally the striped body. For the background, I chose one of the playful gridded patterns from the Painterly Pears Designer Series Paper—this one is Secret Sea with Darling Duckling lines. That pattern set the tone for my bright colour choices: the scarf is coloured with Timid Tiger Stampin’ Blends, the striped body in Darling Duckling and Lemon Lime Twist, and the llama’s face in Gray Granite.
To finish the card, I mounted the llama panel onto Darling Duckling cardstock. The “Happy Birthday” sentiment is stamped on Lemon Lime Twist cardstock and punched with a playful ticket-edge shape. And of course, no birthday card is complete without some bling—so I added a scatter of Darling Duckling Low Profile Sparkle Dots!

I hope this cheerful birthday llama brings a smile to your face and inspires your next creative session.
