In my last post, I mentioned how wonderfully eclectic the Beautiful Gallery Designer Series Paper is—and this card is a perfect example!  The bold print on the card front feels like a delightful mix of paisley and floral vines, creating a unique and eye-catching thank you card.

To balance the intensity of the pattern, I cut the paper into three 7.5 cm x 2.5 cm (3" x 1") strips and mounted them on Basic White cardstock.  The spacing between the top and middle strips creates a perfect spot for the sentiment.

In that space, I stamped a simple “thank you” in Timid Tiger ink, then stamped a pretty floral background above it.  This stamp (and the sentiment) comes from the Beautiful Motifs stamp set.  To give the background stamp a soft, faded look, I applied Secret Sea ink with a Small Blending Brush before stamping.  It adds just the right touch of subtle texture—I love how it turned out!
