Vellum is making a a come-back - I have recently seen some lovely projects using this fun product. And now the new Around the World Stampin' Up! Challenge is to create something using vellum! Here's my Christmas card in vellum using the Endless Wishes stamp set and some of the All Is Calm products from page 22 of the Holiday Catalogue...
Stamps: Endless Wishes (photopolymer: 136829). Ink: Lost Lagoon (133644), Silver Metallic Encore (132142), VersaMark (102283). Card/Paper: White Vellum (106584), Whisper White (106549), All Is Calm Specialty DSP (135823), Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer Paper (135315). Accessories: Silver Stampin' Emboss Powder (109131), All Is Calm Snowflake Embellishments (137383), Frosted Sequins (135835), Rhinestone Basic Jewels (119246), Silver Metallic Baker's Twine (132976). Tools: Heat Tool (129056), Embossing Buddy (103083), Glue Dots (103683), Stampin' Dimensionals (104430).
Vellum adds a lovely softness and muted colour when it is layered over stamping or, in this case, Designer Paper. The only trick with using vellum is learning how to hide the adhesive behind embellishments.
So now what will you create for the Around the World Stampin' Up! Challenge?
Join in! Create a paper-craft project featuring vellum and Stampin' Up! products, take a photo and then show us what you created (add your photo to the bottom of the challenge post where it says "It's your turn!"). Entries close 30 October.
