This is a Journal Jar...

Inside this decorated jar are strips of paper that have prompts. For example:
- What is your full name? Who were you named for? How do you feel about your name?
- What is your favourite book? Tell about your favourite books as a child, teen and adult.
- Did you have a favourite toy as a child? Did it have a name? What memories are connected to it?
The idea is that you choose a question strip from the jar and adhere it to the top of your journal page. The question is then used as inspiration for your journal entry. I got the idea from the Organised Christmas and 119 Journal Prompts websites.
I paired the jar with a plain red (Riding Hood Red?) journal I got from the local stationary store...

The Love Letters DSP was the inspiration for the colours and embellishments - Riding Hood Red, Basic Black and Very Vanilla. I altered the journal cover using the Love Letters paper and stamped images from the Artistic Etchings stamp set.

I even added patterned paper to the pen!

I made this Journal Jar as a Christmas present for my Grandma, who loves to write. She has always wanted to write her life story, but has never got around to it. Maybe this will inspire her.
