But back to the Summer Mini. In the mini is the lovely Square Lattice embossing folder, which I wanted to use to create a Christmas card. I happened to be browsing the Just Add Ink site and their clean and simple sketch inspired me...

So here is the card that I created for Just Add Ink #45...

For the background embossing on the Christmas card, I wanted definition and the illusion of more depth and texture. So I inked up the embossing folder in Crumb Cake before adding the card stock and putting it through the Big Shot. I love the result!

Now that the Summer Mini is "out there" I can also show you the December workshop project - a Smooch Spritz'ed Luminary...

The design of this luminary was inspired by my good friend Bev Poultney. Isn't it gorgeous! However, I hear a couple of questions about the statement "Smooch Spritz'ed Luminary"...

What is a luminary? A luminary is a small festive box with "windows" that you put a candle in. This one has a battery-powered tealight candle in it, but if you want to use a real candle, put it in a small glass before putting it inside the luminary.

What is Smooch Spritz? Smooch Spritz is a pearlised spray that you can add to your projects and is newly available in the Summer Mini. See page 10 of the Summer Mini Catalogue. For the luminary we will be using the Silver Foil Smooch Spritz on Night of Navy card stock to give a lovely sparkle.

The other colour that is in the Summer Mini is called Gold Glow. Here is Gold Glow Smooch Spritz on Soft Suede and Sahara Sand...
