When you create a gatefold card, you need to add a closure, as this type of card likes to spring open. Usually that’s a belly band or a tied ribbon, but this design is a little different – the wings of the gatefold are tucked under a focal image, mounted on a 3" stitched circle of Old Olive cardstock cut with the Stylish Shapes Dies.

The card base is Early Espresso cardstock cut at 26 cm x 14.5 cm (10" x 5-3/4"), then scored at 4 cm, 8 cm, 18 cm, and 22 cm (1-1/2", 3", 7", 8-1/2"). These dimensions leave a peek-through when the card is closed, so you can see that beautiful, bright yellow behind – and it’s also the space where you adhere the die-cut circle using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Give the sides of the gatefold card a tug…

… and the wings come out from behind the closure, revealing a second card front. This one is Daffodil Delight cardstock stamped all over with sunflowers in Daffodil Delight ink. Then there’s space inside for a heartfelt message.
