When is a card not a card? When it's two cards! This fabulous Father's Day card combines two complementary fun-fold designs to create serious wow-factor.

This is a Book-Fold Diagonal Easel Card (say that ten times fast!). But before I share the ins and outs of these two fun-folds, let's take a moment to appreciate the oh-so-versatile Simply Leaves Bundle.

Simply Leaves Stamp Set + Simple Leaf Punch Bundle (photopolymer: 168165) - $95.25

Simply Leaves is a stamp-and-punch bundle that is so much fun to work with, and easy to use! Father's Day in New Zealand is in September, and I loved putting this bundle to work on a Father's Day card. I stamped three large leaves in Pretty Peacock, Golden Glow, and Blackberry Bliss inks, and then punched them out. I layered the stamped leaves across the card front with two more leaves, punched out of Vellum. In the background, I've also stamped the fun, dotted leaf multiple times in Crumb Cake ink.

A book-fold card (the first fun-fold) is a design where you score the card front vertically and adhere the left edge to the back of the card. It's such a simple way to create an unexpected opening without a lot of fuss. I highlighted this fun-fold by adding patterned paper from the Wood Grain Wonders Designer Series Paper pack to the left side of the card front, wrapping it with Linen Thread and tying a bow.

Although the card is a standard rectangular shape, with a book-fold card design, the opening is square!

The same patterned paper and more gorgeous stamped leaves were carried inside the card too. The card inner is actually a second, smaller card that also opens, so there's plenty of space inside for writing a message.

But those leaves aren't just for decoration; they're functional too! One of the leaves is raised on a Stampin' Dimensional to act as a prop for the diagonal easel card (the second fun-fold).

The front of this Father's Day card has a second score line, which runs diagonally across. When you fold along this scored line, it catches behind the leaf prop and sits up for display, showing off those glorious leaves.

This is such a whimsical, special card for Father's Day – it's sure to be loved by Dad, Grandad, or any of the other significant father figures in your life.
