The international Creativity Abounds Design Team are sharing again – and this month brings back a firm favourite: Fun Folds! It's the third time we've tackled this theme since I joined the team just over a year ago, and I don't think that novelty will ever wear off for me – there's something so satisfying about a card that does more than just open and close.

This round, our talented group of Stampin' Up! demonstrators from around the world has put together another beautiful collection of fun fold projects – 13 of them, complete with full step-by-step instructions. Whether you're after something quick and interactive or a design with a bit more wow factor, you'll find a fold to suit. Let's talk about my project…

But before we get to the wow-factor (which is inside), let's first take a look at the stunning Moonlit Flora Suite. If you're visiting here from another part of the world, you may not realise how significant this beautiful product suite is to us here in New Zealand. The delicate fern imagery is distinctive of our native flora, especially the koru shape – the curved, unfurling new shoot of a fern. So it was with great delight that I created this thank-you card with a New Zealand flavour…

Bundles: Fern & Flora Stamp Set + Fern & Flora Dies (photopolymer: 167745). Ink: Secret Sea (165285), Golden Glow (167676), Soft Sea Foam (147102). Card/Paper: Secret Sea (165296), Mossy Meadow (133683), Golden Glow (167686), Basic White (166781), Moonlit Flora 12" x 12" Designer Series Paper (167737). Accessories: Dewdrops Embellishments (167748). Tools: Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine (149653), Fern & Flora 3D Embossing Folder (167744), Blender Pen (102845), Small Blending Brushes (160518), Stampin' Dimensionals (104430).

The card base is Secret Sea cardstock, embossed with the fabulous Fern & Flora 3D Embossing Folder. I then layered stamped and die-cut fern images from the Fern & Flora Bundle over the top, anchored by the sentiment, and finished the front with those cute moths and a scattering of Dewdrops Embellishments.

Now for the wow-factor! Inside this fun-fold thank-you card is a stepped panel with a pop-up – how fun is that?!

I carried those beautiful fern images through to the inside of my card, with the Moonlit Flora Designer Series Paper as a backdrop to the pop-up panel featuring a delicate die-cut fern.
