For this card, I simply adhered a strip of the Summer Happiness Washi Tape to a piece of Basic White cardstock, then used the coordinating dies to cut out these bold, summery accents. It’s such a quick way to create beautifully detailed embellishments!

How fun is that background? To create the sunburst effect, I started with three pieces of patterned paper measuring 9 cm x 4 cm (3-1/2" x 1-1/2"), cut from the Beautiful Ordinary Life Designer Series Paper. The colours of this patterned paper coordinate beautifully with the Summer Happiness Washi Tape, so I added a fourth piece with the same dimensions—Basic White cardstock covered with the washi tape.

I then cut all four pieces diagonally from the top left to the bottom right, creating eight triangles. Arranged together on the left side of the card, they form this bright and cheerful burst of colour.

To tie everything together, I embossed the entire card front with the Lazy Daisy 3D Embossing Folder. It adds just the right amount of texture without taking away from those vibrant colours.

The card front was then finished with a stitched circle with the die-cut summer accents tucked around it. Inside you will find an embossed border and a few extra die-cuts for a beautifully coordinated finish.
