Instead of the traditional “Happy Mother’s Day” sentiment, I chose the bold “love and hugs” from the Greenery Lane Bundle, stamped in Secret Sea ink onto a die-cut stitched circle.  It creates a beautiful focal point on the card front, nestled among a mix of die-cut leaves in Garden Green, Secret Sea, and Lost Lagoon.

But the pièce de résistance is the stunning Greenery Lane Washi Tape on the left side of the card…

I adhered a length of the washi tape to Basic White cardstock, then used it as patterned paper.  It has the most gorgeous soft sheen—such an easy way to add elegance and texture to your cardmaking.

The front of this Mother’s Day card has a little extra detail too—I’ve torn it!  Then I enhanced the torn edge with a swipe of VersaMark ink, added Gold Embossing Powder, and heat set it for a soft matte-gold finish.  Simple… and so effective.

This torn edge beautifully frames the washi panel, and when you open the card, you’re greeted with more of that delicate leafy pattern inside.
