Before we open the card, let me tell you about the stunning panel on the left side of the card front.  This is one of the Natural Hues Textured Specialty Papers, which I first spritzed with Pretty Peacock, Pecan Pie, and Old Olive inks.

To create this effect, I simply added 6–8 drops of ink to a Stampin’ Spritzer, filled it with water, and misted the ink onto the textured cardstock.  Once the panel was dry, I stamped the branch and wood-texture image over the top in Pecan Pie ink.

I love how the Natural Hues Textured Specialty Paper, layered inks, and stamped images add so much depth and texture to the card front.  But that’s not all — I also used that same inky, textured cardstock to die-cut the beautiful detailed branch and added it to the right edge of the card.

Matchy, matchy!

Now for a little wow-factor… this is a triple-layer fun-fold card.  You get a hint of the beautiful Nature’s Walk Designer Series Paper tucked behind the front panel, and then…

…inside is a second layer with more space to add stamping and organic layers.  Open again…

…and you reach the third layer, where you can write a heartfelt birthday message.
