At the recent Mini Catalogue Launch Party, we had fun playing with some of the new products and created two sweet projects together.  The first was an elegant greeting card using the Lovely Blossoms Suite.  Today I’m sharing the second project—a pretty note card featuring the adorable Woolly Friends Bundle.

Woolly Friends Stamp Set + Woolly Friends Builder Punch Bundle (photopolymer: 166888) - $85.50

The colour palette for this cute “welcome little one” baby card was inspired by the pretty Lovely & Beautiful Designer Series Paper that decorates the background of this note card.  On top of that, we added a Basic White layer stamped with tulips in Fresh Freesia and Old Olive inks.

Then came the fun part… creating and adding that adorable sheep to the card front!

We began by stamping the sheep’s body, head, and bow outline images in Tuxedo Black Memento ink onto Basic White cardstock.  The body and the tuft of fluff on his head were stamped in Fresh Freesia ink (after stamping off once onto scrap paper for a softer shade), and the bow was stamped in Peach Pie ink.

Next, we punched out all the pieces using the coordinating builder punch and assembled the sheep by attaching the head to the body with a Stampin’ Dimensional and tucking the little bow neatly under his chin.

So simple… and so cute!

Projects like this are a great reminder that sometimes the sweetest cards come together with just a few stamps, punches, and a lovely piece of patterned paper.  This little note card would be perfect for welcoming a new baby and celebrating a special little someone.
