Look what we got up to on Saturday!  This is one of the layouts we created at the November Scrapbooking Escape using the fabulous Keeping Traditions Scrapbooking Workshop Kit.  It’s one of the three double-page layouts we completed on the day, and it was such a fun one to put together.

Then on Sunday—just one day later—our family gathered for our annual tradition of putting up the Christmas decorations.  The timing couldn’t have been more perfect!  I saved this layout especially for these photos, and I love how beautifully it captures our first-weekend-of-December tradition.  Another year documented and another memory preserved.

One of the things I love about Stampin’ Up!’s scrapbooking workshop kits is the simple-but-effective techniques they include.  This kit featured a gorgeous hand-drawn floral imagery on the base pages that can easily be coloured.  We dipped our Wink of Stella brush into Old Olive ink to add glamorous, shimmery accents to the leaves.  Such an easy technique—yet it adds pretty sparkle!

Scrapbooking together on Saturday with a group of friends, then spending Sunday decorating with family… what a fabulous, memory-filled weekend.
