This project is a dutch-door card — a fun-fold where the card front is only half the height of the full card.  You can create this in two different ways:

• Fold a standard card base, then trim away the top half of the card front, or
• Start with a full-height card backing and adhere a small, half-height note card for the front (the method I used here).

My dutch-door Christmas card showcases one of the striking black-and-white patterned papers from the Modern Christmas Specialty Designer Series Paper.  Over the top, I layered Gold Foil and the lighter side of Fresh Freesia Two-Tone Cardstock.  I tore the top and bottom edges of each layer to add beautiful texture and soften the structured design.

The focal point is a showstopper!  It features one of the Large Gold Hoops, hanging just above the edge of the shorter card front.  Layered over the hoop is a stamped Christmas tree image on Fresh Freesia cardstock, finished with more golden goodness using the Gold Striped Mesh Ribbon — oh my!
