The card starts with a Real Red card base measuring 14.8 cm x 21 cm (5-3/4” x 8-1/4”), scored at 2.5 cm, 5 cm, and 13 cm (1”, 2”, and 5-1/8”).  When folded along these score lines, you’ll create two raised panels—or “mountains”—that give the card its dimension.  Each front panel is then dressed up with the Traditions of Christmas Specialty Designer Series Paper for a classic, festive touch.

Next, I cut a second piece of Real Red cardstock to 9.5 cm x 21 cm (3-3/4” x 8-1/4”) and scored it at 10.5 cm (4-1/8”).  This piece folds in half and attaches to the front and back of the base—so simple, yet so clever!

To finish the design, I added a poinsettia floral arrangement that truly steals the show.  The image is from the Christmas Greenery Bundle, and was stamped in VersaMark ink, heat embossed with Gold Embossing Powder, and then die-cut.  Each bloom and leaf has its own coordinating stamp, which makes layering and colouring easy.  I used Real Red for the poinsettia, Bubble Bath and Pool Party for the smaller flowers, and Old Olive for the leaves.  The bouquet was mounted on the centre panel with a flourish of Real Red Shiny Ribbon tucked behind.
