Last month, I hosted another Scrapbooking Escape—a full day devoted to creativity, connection, and getting those beautiful memories onto pages.  It was the perfect excuse to step away from the everyday hustle and enjoy some uninterrupted crafting time surrounded by like-minded creatives.

For our September event, we dived into the gorgeous Celebrate Together Scrapbooking Workshop Kit from Stampin’ Up!—and what a joy it was to create all three double-page layouts!

Three double-page layouts might sound ambitious, but with detailed instructions, inspiration at every table, and the wonderful creative buzz in the room, everyone achieved it!  By the end of the day, each person had completed their layouts, photos and journaling included—a true sense of accomplishment.

Here’s my first layout using the Celebrate Together Scrapbooking Workshop Kit...

This spread captures the many hours our neighbours’ toddlers and my own spent playing together on our front lawn.  The bright colours, sunflowers, and outdoor activties were a perfect match for the joyful “Summer Fun” theme.

The second layout continues the story with splashes and giggles from our summer water play sessions on the lawn.

One of the fun techniques introduced through the Celebrate Together Scrapbooking Workshop Kit is adding a swish of gold embossing.  You can spot it in a few places on my layouts—but here’s a close-up of how it looks on a patterned paper strip anchoring one of my photos.  I simply brushed VersaMark ink along the edge, added Gold Embossing Powder, and heat-set it.  Such a quick detail, but it adds a stunning touch of shimmer!

I had so much fun creating this layout and reminiscing about those carefree days.  The Celebrate Together Kit theme perfectly complements these photos—both in colour and sentiment.

The Scrapbooking Escape was a truly fabulous day!  I love the pages I completed there (honestly, I might not have finished them otherwise!).  That’s what I adore about these events—they’re a true escape from everyday life, giving you space to create, reflect, and preserve precious memories.
