What a weekend!  On Saturday, I had the absolute pleasure of attending a Connect & Craft demonstrator event in Auckland, and it was such a blast.  Some of my wonderful team came along too, and the day was filled with laughter, creativity, and plenty of catching up with friends.  We had time for guided projects as well as the freedom to work on our own, which made it the perfect mix of structured fun and relaxed crafting.

One of the highlights?  My bestie, Jackie Noble, decided to create a scrapbook layout to commemorate the day—and not only did she finish it in a short time, but she gifted it to me!

Jackie’s gorgeous page features the Lovely Florals Designer Series Paper and some leftover elements from the Lovely Florals Scrapbooking Workshop Kit.  She built that rustic, layered border on the left by tearing 12" strips of patterned paper along with Lost Lagoon and Pretty Peacock Two-Tone cardstock.  A horizontal floral strip across the centre grounds the page beautifully, before she added her layered border.

The three 3" x 4" photos (plus journaling) were matted on coordinating cardstock and arranged in a neat grid over the centre strip, with floral stamping and die-cut embellishments adding extra charm—such a creative and meaningful way to remember our special day.

You can even spot me crafting in one of the photos!  My own project for the day was the Make A Memory Scrapbooking Kit.  I nearly finished all twelve layouts from the kit during our time together—so easy and satisfying since it’s a no-cut kit.  Just pop out the die-cuts, layer with the pre-cut mats and stickers, and add them to the patterned paper bases.  You can follow the instructions for quick results, or let your creativity run free and make each layout unique.
