With so many new goodies arriving at once, I thought I’d shine a spotlight on one of my favourites from the new mini catalogue.  It’s not only beautiful, but also makes a real difference…

Love & Courage Stamp Set (cling: 165935) - $53.00

The Love & Courage stamp set is truly something special.  With heartfelt sentiments and thoughtful images, it’s designed to help you share love, encouragement, and support through your crafting.  Even better—it’s this year’s Stampin’ Up! Give Back product, meaning $4.50 NZD from every set sold will be donated to breast cancer organisations.  A beautiful way to craft with purpose!

This elegant card features the large focal stamp from the set—a striking circular design with a sunflower on one side and handwritten words of encouragement on the other.  The balanced design makes it ideal for a creative technique like the split negative effect.

Stamps: Love & Courage (cling: 165935).  Ink: Gorgeous Grape (147099).  Card/Paper: Cloud Cover (165293), Gorgeous Grape (147011), Basic White (166781), Basic White Thick (159230).  Accessories: Frosted Iridescent Dots (165766).  Tools: Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine (149653), Stylish Shapes Dies (159183), Sunflower 3D Embossing Folder (166145), Stampin' Dimensionals (104430).

To create the feature piece, I stamped the image in Gorgeous Grape ink on Cloud Cover cardstock and cut it out with the largest stitched circle from the Stylish Shapes Dies.  I then die-cut a second circle from Gorgeous Grape cardstock, cut it in half, and adhered it with Stampin’ Dimensionals over the sunflower half.  Lastly, I stamped the image again in Gorgeous Grape ink on Cloud Cover cardstock, fussy cut the sunflower, and adhered it on the raised left side.

Inspired by this beautiful flower, I used the Sunflower 3D Embossing Folder to add a textured background to the Basic White card base.  The finished look is completed with a stamped sentiment in Gorgeous Grape ink and a few Frosted Iridescent Dots for just the right touch of sparkle.
