At a Stampin’ Up! event earlier this year, we used pieces from the Celebration Expressions Memories & More Card Pack to create a fun brickwork effect on a 12" x 12" scrapbooking layout. The stamping came from the Layered Thoughts stamp set—a sentiment-only set full of bold, celebratory words.

Stamps: Layered Thoughts (photopolymer: 165346). Ink: Tuxedo Black Memento (132708). Card/Paper: Basic Black Two-Tone (166704), White Willow (166703), Gold Foil (132622). Accessories: Celebrations Expressions Memories & More Card Pack (165307), Black .04 Stampin' Journaling Pens (166647). Tools: Bee Builder Punch (162553), Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals (144108).
Layered Thoughts Stamp Set (photopolymer: 165346) - $42.00
Celebration Expressions Memories & More Card Pack (165307) - $21.00
54 total cards. 3" x 4" (7.6 x 10.2 cm): 36 cards. 4" x 6" (10.2 x 15.2 cm): 18 cards.
The first page was made at the demonstrator-only event. We began by cutting the bright, patterned cards into 4 cm (1-1/2") strips and adhering them to a 12" x 12" piece of Basic Black Two-Tone Cardstock. Any overhanging strips were simply trimmed away. I love the effect, especially with the vibrant chevron, striped, and dotted patterns from the Celebration Expressions card pack.
To break up the busy colours, I tucked in pieces of White Willow Cardstock stamped with “love you” in Tuxedo Black Memento ink. The Layered Thoughts stamps are so much fun, featuring bold mixed fonts with a playful feel. The “love” and “you” are two separate stamps, which I mounted on one Clear Block and stamped together for a striking look. Simple, eye-catching, and fun!
After the Stampin’ Up! event, I couldn’t resist creating a second 12" x 12" page to complete a double layout...

On this page, I continued the brick pattern across from the first layout, then added the photos onto mats from more Celebration Expressions cards. I love the casual, haphazard arrangement—it feels so lively and fun! To finish, I added a few coordinating touches...

The sweet banners are hand-cut from another Celebration Expressions card. I added a hand-drawn line a black journalling pen, then draped them across the layout and photos for a playful detail. The best part of these card packs is how everything coordinates—backgrounds, photo mats, and embellishments all work seamlessly together. The final touch was a scattering of gold foil hearts, punched from Gold Foil Sheets with the Bee Builder Punch and popped up with Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals.
I love the simplicity of this double layout and how easily it came together with the Celebration Expressions card pack. I also love the bold “love you” from the Layered Thoughts stamp set as it balances the busy colours beautifully.
