The coordination between the Extraordinary Flora stamp and die bundle and the Extraordinary Flora Washi Tape is—quite frankly—extraordinary!  I’ve paired these amazing products together to create these fancy fold cards with beautiful belly bands, inspired by a project taught by Jacque Williams.

Let’s start with the star of the show: the Extraordinary Flora Washi Tape.  This isn’t your average washi—it’s a whopping 8.3 cm (3-1/4") wide and features a dreamy watercolour design of florals and botanicals in soft pink and purple variations.  Why the repeat?  The pattern perfectly coordinates with the Extraordinary Flora Die, allowing you to easily create stunning floral embellishments.

Simply adhere the washi tape to a piece of Basic White cardstock (or similar) and run it through your die-cutting machine.  Voilà—ready-made, beautifully coloured flowers with no stamping or colouring needed!

Fun fact: there are about 70 repeating floral sections on one roll—hello, flower power!

Some of those floral pieces found their way onto this fun fold card, which uses Petunia Pop as the base to match the washi tape.  The Party Banner Dies created the layered banners on the belly band in Petunia Pop and Basic White cardstocks.  I tucked and layered the washi florals in between the banners and popped some up on Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals for extra dimension and wow factor!

Slide off the belly band and you’ll see the waterfall-style fancy fold underneath—a simple but stunning way to bring more colour and texture to the card front.

Open the card and the inside bursts with more botanical beauty.

The centre panel features Petunia Pop cardstock, stamped with the large Extraordinary Flora image in VersaMark ink.  While VersaMark is often used for heat embossing, it also works beautifully on its own as a watermark ink, giving a soft, elegant tone-on-tone look.

The green panels—on both the front and inside—are Garden Green Two-Tone cardstock.  One of the fun things about this cardstock is the ability to sand back embossed areas to reveal the white core.  I used the Pressed Flowers Embossing Folder for added texture and gently sanded the surface to make the detail pop.

Because the washi tape design alternates between two colourways, I created a second card using Strawberry Slush as the base colour—just as gorgeous, but with a completely different feel!
