Sunday was the Hamilton Extravaganza, and what a fabulous day it was—connecting, crafting, and being inspired!  This is one of the five projects we created over the weekend using the popular Boho Vibes Suite, paired with Flip Flaps to create a fun shaker card.  It’s a creative crossover between cardmaking and scrapbooking—and a big hit on the day!

12 self-adhesive, photo safe sleeves

If you haven’t seen or used Flip Flaps before, they’re exactly what they sound like: clear flaps that attach to a scrapbook layout and flip open to reveal extra photos, journaling, or accents.  These interactive elements have a self-adhesive flap and come in several sizes—3" x 3", 3" x 4", 4" x 4", and 4" x 6"—making them super versatile for paper crafting.

They were the inspiration behind this card!  We started with a 15 cm x 11 cm card base in Daffodil Delight, and adhered a 4" x 4" Flip Flap directly to the front.  To hide the flap tab and add a pop of colour, we layered over a piece of the stunning Boho Vibes Designer Series Paper—practical and beautiful.

Inside the Flip Flap, we inserted a 4" x 4" piece of Lemon Lolly cardstock, inked with Daffodil Delight and stamped all over with the fun starburst image.  Then came the sparkle!  We added Loose Gold Sequins as our shaker elements and sealed the top closed with Tear & Tape Adhesive.  It’s such an easy trick—and creates a fabulous effect!

To finish the front of the shaker card, we added a die-cut rainbow in coordinating colours, stamping a few of the arches for added texture.  Then we layered on the sentiment: “sending good vibes”—perfect for this cheerful design!

We kept the inside of our shaker card simple with a soft blend of Daffodil Delight ink and a few more stamped starbursts for a consistent finish.
