I was recently fortunate to attend this year’s Stampin’ Up! Incentive Trip* in sunny Orlando, Florida—an unforgettable experience!  One of the exciting reveals during the event was a first look at products from the July Online Exclusives release.  Alongside catching up with fellow demonstrators, I had the chance to admire beautiful display boards showcasing these soon-to-be-released goodies.  One project in particular, created with the brand-new Painterly Pears Suite, immediately caught my eye.  The soft colour palette, delicate blossoms, and repeated pear motif were just too lovely to ignore—I knew I had to recreate it.

I kept the charming concept of repeating the large pear image but adapted the design and colour choices to make it my own.  My version is a slimline card, which gave me extra length to play with the repeating pattern.  I started with a base of Basic White Thick cardstock measuring 21 cm x 14.8 cm (8-1/4" x 5-3/4"), scored at 7.4 cm (2-7/8"), and folded in half to create a sleek layout.  

To bring in some coordinating texture and colour, I added a strip of Painterly Pears 12" x 12" Designer Series Paper—a 21 cm x 4 cm (8-1/4" x 1-1/2") piece adhered across the bottom of the card front.  The soft, citrusy colours in the paper inspired the palette for my stamped pears!

For the top panel, I used Basic White cardstock cut at 20 cm x 6.4 cm (7-7/8" x 2-1/2") and repeatedly stamped the pear image using Petal Pink, Timid Tiger, Darling Duckling, and Old Olive inks.  To bring a fun, dimensional element into the card, I used the Perfectly Pears Dies to cut tiny blossoms from coordinating coloured cardstock and attached them to each of the pears.  It’s such a simple but effective way to add texture.
