Don't have a "Happy Mother's Day" stamp?  Have another look at your stash... any encouraging, thoughtful sentiment can be the perfect stamp for the front of your Mother's Day card.  Take this stunning greeting card as an example.  The front of this card reads, "always in your corner", from the Spring Corners Bundle.  Now, that's such a sweet sentiment for Mother's Day!

Spring Corners Stamp Set + Spring Corners Dies Bundle (photopolymer: 164743) - $99.00

On the front of my Mother's Day card, I have wrapped the encouraging corner sentiment around a beautiful floral arrangement.  This was achieved by die-cutting the Basic White cardstock using the floral die from the Spring Corners Bundle.  I then die-cut the same image from Calypso Coral, Petal Pink, and Boho Blue cardstock, inserting the petal and leaf pieces into the first die-cut to create a lovely composite image for my card front.

Another fun technique you may have noticed on this card front is that wonderful ombre, watercolour-striped background.  This vibrant background is created by making a temporary stamp pad.  First, take a Silicone Craft Sheet and press the Petal Pink stamp pad directly along the top edge, then press the Calypso Coral stamp pad along the bottom.  Then comes the inky part!  Add a fine mist of water using a Stampin' Spritzer so that the ink on the Silicone Craft Sheet beads and blends.  Don't be shy- spray a lot of water!  Now your temporary stamp pad is ready.  Simply press the Painted Stripes stamp onto the Silicone Craft Sheet to pick up the ink, then stamp onto Petal Pink cardstock and leave to dry.

The great thing about this fun, inky technique is that you can use this temporary ombre stamp pad four to five times!  Just spritz it with water between stampings.
