How sweet is that rabbit on the front? He is stamped in Pebbled Path ink on Basic White cardstock and then coloured with Watercolor Pencils. Instead of the usual way of applying colouring pencils to an image, I have used soft, short strokes to give him a fur-like finish.
This Easter Gift Bag is sometimes called a bag-in-a-box or a box-in-a-bag. It is where you start with a simple, square box base and then wrap it with a long length of patterned paper. I have stepped this process up a notch by taking that patterned paper and adding to it before adhering to the box base.
I started with a 30 cm x 10 cm (12" x 4") length of patterned paper and a 2 cm (3/4") strip of Pebbled Path cardstock. I stamped the Pebbled Path cardstock with the brick image in Pebbled Path ink and then adhered it to the top of the patterned paper. I added a 5 cm (2") strip of the pretty gold patterned paper to the Pebbled Path cardstock and folded the patterned paper down to give the top edge of the bag a lovely finish. Then, I was ready to add adhesive along the bottom edge at the back and adhere it to the top of the box base.
To create the closure for my Easter Gift Bag, I punched two tabs and stamped them with the brick image. I used the versatile Hole Punch Assortment punches to add a hole to the tabs and then adhered them to the front and back of the bag. The lovely Petal Pink 3/8" Scalloped Ribbon was threaded through the holes in the tabs to close the top of the bag with a pretty bow.
Now, all I needed was some yummy treats to add to my Easter Gift Box, like these chocolate rabbits, which conveniently matched the Storybook Friends Bundle imagery.
