Adventurous Sky Stamp Set + Adventurous Sky Dies Bundle (163447) - $112.50
This simple greeting card design begins with a piece of Boho Blue cardstock that is around 2 cm (3/4") shorter than the card base, and three clouds die-cut from Masking Paper. The three masking paper clouds are adhered to the upper section of the cardstock and Boho Blue ink is lightly applied to the top edges of the clouds using a Small Blending Brush, and then the masking paper is removed. Repeat this action, moving down the Boho Blue cardstock until you reach the bottom.
Once you have beautiful blue skies with fluffy clouds, you cut 2 cm (3/4") off the bottom of the Boho Blue cardstock and add these two pieces to the top and bottom of the card front using Stampin' Dimensionals. Because the cardstock was cut shorter than the card front, this leaves a gap in the middle of the card that you can stamp an appropriate sentiment for your greeting card. This punny sentiment from the Adventurous Sky stamp set says, "you're the best, plane and simple"!
The two biplanes were stamped in Jet Black StazOn ink and then cut out using the coordinating dies. The planes were coloured using Blender Pens in Copper Clay, Smoky Slate, and Boho Blue inks. Blender Pens are a fun way to quickly colour images with any water-based inks you have on hand. Start by squeezing your stamp pad so that ink pools in the lid, then use the Blender Pen to pick up that ink, and then colour. Before changing to the next ink colour, simply scribble the Blender Pen on scrap paper until it runs clear, then pick up your new ink colour and apply - easy!
