We continue to look at the new 2024-2026 In Color collection, which was introduced in the 2024-2025 Annual Catalogue.  So far, we have seen Petunia Pop, Peach Pie, and Pretty in Pink.  Now, let's discuss one more... SUMMER SPLASH.

Using the colour wheel on page 132 of the new 2024-2025 Annual Catalogue, we can compare Summer Splash with the two hues on either side - Coastal Cabana and Lost Lagoon...

Summer Splash is a clear, crisp turquoise that is more saturated than Coastal Cabana, but cleaner and lighter than Lost Lagoon.  I have used this pretty blue-green hue to add brightness to this fun thank-you note card using the Country Flowers Bundle...

For this thank you note card, I began by stamping the vintage milk urn in Tuxedo Black Memento ink onto a 6.5 cm x 12.7 cm (2-1/2" x 5") piece of the Country Woods Designer Series Paper.  This patterned paper has a lovely, soft wood-grain finish that is fun to stamp on!  I also stamped the urn with "Flower Market" and then coloured it with Smoky Slate Stampin' Blends.  I added a piece of Petal Pink cardstock, which is 0.5 cm or 1/4" wider, to the back of the patterned paper and adhered this to the front of a Basic White Note Card.

Then I had some fun colouring the beautiful bouquet!  I used Summer Splash, Pretty in Pink, Petal Pink Stampin' Blends for the flowers, and Wild Wheat Stampin' Blends for the leaves.  The flowers were die-cut and added to the card front, above the vintage milk urn, using Stampin' Dimensionals.

The last step was to stamp a 3.5 cm (1-1/2") strip of Summer Splash cardstock with the words, "so lucky to know you", cut the bottom edge to create a v-shaped flag, and add this to the top of the card front with Stampin' Dimensionals.

I love the combination of turquoise and pinks on this thank you card, and how the Summer Splash flowers and banner add a bright pop of colour to this (otherwise) soft, vintage-style card.  Now it's your turn to find new colour combinations using the lovely Summer Splash!
