Perennial Lavender Thank You Card

Sometimes I am stuck for ideas when sitting down to create a greeting card.  That is where the stunning photographed projects in the Stampin' Up! catalogues come in handy.  Case in point... I wanted to use the amazing Perennial Lavender Suite for a feminine thank you card but was drawing a creative blank (it was one of those days!).  So, I reproduced the lovely card on page 22 of the January-April 2024 Mini Catalogue.

Here is how I recreated this beautiful thank you card...

I cut Crumb Cake cardstock at 10.5 cm x 29.6 cm (4-1/4" x 11-1/2"), scored it at 14.8 cm (5-3/4"), and folded my card base in half.  I cut one sheet from the Perennial Lavender Designer Series Paper to fit the front of my greeting card.  I chose one of the patterned paper designs with hand-painted lavender stems and small, pretty butterflies.

I then die-cut two rectangles in the shape of postage stamps using the Perennial Postage Dies, one from Vellum and one from Gorgeous Grape cardstock.  On the front of the Gorgeous Grape postage-stamp shape, I stamped "I can't thank you enough" in VersaMark ink, added White Embossing Powder, and heat set the words.  I adhered a folded length of Burlap Ribbon underneath the words, added the words to the die-cut Vellum postage-stamp shape with Stampin' Dimensionals, and then adhered it all onto the card front.

I picked one of the fun Paper Butterfly Accents and added some Fresh Freesia ink to the edges of its wings.  A Small Blending Brush was used to add the ink to this project but you could also use a Sponge Dauber.  Then, to finish, I added the inked butterfly above the words and a scattering of Purple Fine Shimmer Gems across the card to catch the light.
