I recently had the unfortunate occasion of needing a sympathy card and I turned to the Meandering Meadows Suite because of its serene scenes and uplifting colour palette.

I started with a piece of Basic White Thick cardstock cut at 21 cm x 14.8 cm (8-1/4" x 5-3/4"), which was then scored at 4.5 cm and 10.5 cm (1-3/4" and 4-1/8").  The card base was then folded in half and the front folded back along the second score line.  I then used one of the beautiful hand-drawn scenes from the Meandering Meadows 6" x 6" Designer Series Paper across the back and inside of the card, and one of the abstract designs from the same patterned paper pack for the front panel.

Because I didn't want to cover up or detract from these lovely, artistic scenes, I used a die-cut vellum circle for the words and to hold the sweet wheelbarrow element.  Vellum is great for this job because of its semi-transparent nature.  The wheelbarrow is from the Garden Meadow Bundle.  I stamped it in Tuxedo Black Memento ink, die-cut it out, and coloured this lovely image using Stampin' Blends that coordinated with the colours in the patterned paper.

I finished my sympathy card with some brass, swooping birds from the Adhesive-Backed Dragonflies & Birds embellishment pack.
