Alongside the release of the new 2021-2022 Annual Catalogue are five new on-trend colours to add to the Stampin' Up! palette. Here is one of those five... FRESH FREESIA - a soft, orchid pink that looks purple in one light and pink in another. Take a look at how this new hue compares with some of our familiar core colours...
I was inspired by the scallop-edged thank you card on page 156 of the new annual catalogue. So I recreated that beautiful card in Fresh Freesia, Gorgeous Grape, and Granny Apple Green using the fabulous, new Color & Contour Bundle...
Bundles: Color & Contour Stamp Set + Scalloped Contours Dies (photopolymer: 158356). Ink: Fresh Freesia (155611), Gorgeous Grape (147099), Granny Apple Green (147095). Card/Paper: Fresh Freesia (155614), Basic White (159228), 2021-2023 In Color 6" x 6" Designer Series Paper (155641). Accessories: Fresh Freesia 3/8" Open Weave Ribbon (155615), 2021-2023 In Color Jewels (155571). Tools: Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine (149653), Stampin’ Dimensionals (104430).
The Color & Contour stamp set is fun to play with, especially when you are using lots of colour. I stamped the open-line flowers in all three inks and then loaded up the coordinating abstract filler stamp with the same ink colour, stamped it off onto scrap paper, and then stamped within the flower outline. A quick die-cut and you have five beautiful flowers to create with!
The matching Scallop Contours Dies not only die-cut the floral art in the Color & Contour stamp set, but it also includes five fabulous frames and a die that cuts a stitched scallop edge. I used that decorative edge for my thank you card to die-cut the right side of the card and then added one of the Fresh Freesia patterned papers from the 2021-2023 In Color Designer Series Papers underneath.
I finished my thank you card with a folded length of Fresh Freesia Open Weave Ribbon and lots of gorgeous, self-adhesive jewels. This new pink with its lovely purple tones is so pretty and is unlike any other colour in the current Stampin' Up! collection.
