Saturday was World Cardmaking Day and I celebrated by creating these four Christmas cards using an unconventional stamp set. This is Gorgeous Posies stamped in traditional Christmas colours of Real Red, Cherry Cobbler, and Old Olive.
Stamps: Gorgeous Posies (cling: 153289), Wrapped in Christmas (cling: 153481). Ink: Real Red (147084), Cherry Cobbler (147083), Old Olive (147090). Card/Paper: Real Red (106578), Whisper White (106549), Whisper White Thick (140490). Accessories: Wonder of the Season Ribbon Combo Pack (153537), Wonderful Gems (153536), Real Red 3/8" Sheer Ribbon (153535). Tools: Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine (149653), Magnetic Cutting Plate (149656), Rectangle Stitched Dies (151820), Stampin’ Dimensionals (104430).
These four cards began with a single sheet of A4 sheet of Whisper White cardstock. I stamped all the gorgeous floral images down the middle of the cardstock and then cut that sheet into four card fronts. This first card is the simplest with some gold cord tied around the top edge and the words stamped along the bottom. I used the festive sentiments from the Wrapped in Christmas stamp set for all four cards.
The soft Real Red Sheer Ribbon is lovely to tie bows with, so I finished the third card with one.
It was a bit of an experiment to see if I could use the Gorgeous Posies stamp set for Christmas cards and I love how these four floral cards came out.
