Welcome to Your Creative Connection; a bi-monthly creative showcase which comes to you on the 2nd and 4th Wednesday of each month. Your Creative Connection came together from a group of eight global friends wanting to give you a worldwide connection to creativity. We hope to inspire you to connect with us as we share papercraft ideas using Stampin’ Up! products. Each showcase will have a theme, and we will ‘travel’ around the world to connect with our creative friends.
I confess I am not a gardener. My grandma and mum are amazing gardeners, but I think that skill skipped a generation. I love pretty flower gardens and like to have vegetables available at different times of the year, but my gardening skills and motivation are such that the plants in my little patch of earth survive or die on their own merit! So for this week's You Creative Connection theme, FRESH FROM THE GARDEN, I turned to poppies, which are an easy-care, self-seeding flower that adds a beautiful pop of vibrant colour.
Bundles: Painted Poppies Stamp Set + Painted Labels Dies (cling: 153827). Ink: Calypso Coral (147101), Old Olive (147090), Blackberry Bliss (147092), Tuxedo Black Memento (132708). Card/Paper: Blackberry Bliss (133682), Whisper White (106549), Peaceful Poppies Designer Series Paper (151324). Accessories: Peaceful Poppies Elements (151327), Whisper White 1/4" Crinkled Seam Binding Ribbon (151326), Peaceful Poppies Sequins (151325). Tools: Mini Glue Dots (103683), Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue (110755), Stampin’ Dimensionals (104430).
This is a three-panel tri-fold scenery card, a design that I've adapted by Rachel Tessman, that features one panel of the Peaceful Poppies Designer Series Paper on the card front...
... that creates a complete garden scene when the card is opened, like a puzzle coming together.
This beautiful card is on it's way to my sister-in-law for her birthday this month. She is a cardmaker too and I am sure she'll enjoy this fun-fold card.
