Q & A - Stamps
The first time you mount a wood-mount Stampin' Up! stamp set can be a bit daunting, but it needn't be. If you have any questions after reading this or would like a demonstration on how to mount a stamp, then please contact me.

When you recieve your stamp set it comes in its own container. Inside you will find three things:
- A sheet of rubber with your stamp images,
- A wooden block for each stamp, and
- A clear label for the box and for the top of each stamp block. Note, on the backing paper of the labels are the instructions for assembling stamps.
Stampin' Up! are transitioning from square-cut rubber stamps to die-cut. If your rubber images can be pulled apart in "squares", then the set you have is square-cut. If your rubber images can be pushed out of the rubber sheet, then your set is die-cut.
If your stamp set is square cut, you will need to trim the excess rubber from around the image. This is done so that ink is not transfered from the outside rubber onto your cardstock or paper.
- Using sharp scissors, trim the excess rubber close to the image. Make straight cuts. I recommend using the Stampin' Up! Craft & Rubber Scissors for this.

To assemble your stamps:
- Match the rubber images and labels to the correct wooden blocks.
- Apply the labels to the blocks, trimming if necessary.
- Remove backing paper from rubber images and adhere to the wooden blocks, matching the position of the image with the label. Press firmly.
- Apply the label, with the stamp set name, to the end of the box.
