These two cards were inspired by a shoebox swap I made at a recent demonstrator gathering. A shoebox swap differs from a standard swap in that you take all the supplies to make swaps in a box. You pass the boxes around and make the swaps to take home. Good fun!

Stamps: Good Neighbours (SAB 118780), Vintage Labels (SAB 118784). Card/Paper: Kraft (106554), Chocolate Chip (108599), Old Olive (106576), Whisper White (106549), Windsor Knot DSP (112039). I changed it up a bit, used more of the Good Neighbours stamp set and made this card...

Stamps: Good Neighbours (SAB 118780), Happy Moments (SAB 118786). Card/Paper: Kiwi Kiss (116204), Pumpkin Pie (108601), Whisper White (106549), Kiwi Kiss DSP (112161). A couple of weeks ago was our 12th wedding anniversary, so (naturally) I made my husband a card. My friend, Patrice, showed me how to make a Moving Circle card, so I was inspired to make one myself.

Stamps: Baroque Motifs (116340), Defining Alphabet (116354), Life Definitions (115928). Card/Paper: Close to Coca (108600), Whisper White (106549), Candy Lane DSP (113980). Ink: Close to Cocoa (103139), VersaMark (102283). Accessories: White Stampin' Emboss Powder (109132), Whisper White 1/4" Grosgrain Ribbon (109025), Chocolate Chip Marker Pen (100071), Clear Rhinestone Brads (113144). Tools: Scallop Oval Punch (107305), Large Oval Punch (107305), Mat Pack (105826), Circle Scissor Plus (112530), Stampin' Dimensionals (104430).
But wait, that is not all. If you turn the circle using the ribbon tag on the right, you open the circle to reveal a message...

Isn't that fun!
The ladies who attended the Hamilton Extravaganza were very fortunate as they made a Moving Circle card as one of their projects. Patrice has her Moving Circle card on her website. Also there are instructions on Jackie Topa's website on how to make a Moving Circle card.

Yes, I know it is a bit late. This is a Valentine's card that I made using the Whimsical Words Sale-a-bration stamp set. It was made on time, but I didn't get it up here before 14 February. However, I hope you can be inspired by this card design, as the colours and sentiment can be easily changed to suit any occasion.

Stamps: Whimsical Words (SAB 118782), Priceless (116402). Card/Paper: Close to Coca (108600), Whisper White (106549), Candy Lane DSP (113980), Riding Hood Red (116205). Ink: Riding Hood Red (111836). Accessories: Close to Cocoa Marker Pen (100072). Tools: 1" Circle Punch (109046), Distressing Tool/Cutter Kit (106958), Circle Scissor Plus (112530), Stampin' Dimensionals (104430). Non-SU!: Stick-on Rhinestones.
I wanted the circles to have some depth but didn't want to space them with dimensionals (as that would be too much). So I punched out three circles of cardstock and stuck them together. I used these to create space between the circles instead.
I love the Whimsical Words stamp set, it is really versatile and goes great with all my stamps. Like I said, this card can be changed for any occasion. For instance, it can be a birthday card by changing the wording to "the more candles the bigger the wish" and, instead of the hearts, add a cake or cupcakes from a stamp set like Crazy for Cupcakes. For a new baby, use "small wonder", Tall Tales Designer Paper and add some of the animals from Animal Stories stamp set in the Summer Mini. I could go on, but you get the idea!

Yes it has been a while since I put something here because I have been so busy with Sale-a-bration and the Hamilton Extravaganza. So I will share with you why it has been busy.
On Saturday we had over 70 stampers at the Hamilton Extravaganza. At the Extravaganza, five pairs of demonstrators prepared and taught a project, moving from table to table so at the end of the day everyone who attended took home five lovely creations using a variety of techniques. Also, everyone who came recieved a bag of goodies from their demonstrator. Here are the name tags that I put on my bags...

Stamps: For Everything (116686). Card/Paper: Real Red (106578), Whisper White (106549), Pink Flamingo DSP (113976). Ink: Chocolate Chip (100908), Cameo Coral (103035), Summer Sun (100537), Real Red (103133), Tempting Turquoise (100814). Accessories: Whisper White 1/4" Grosgrain Ribbon (109025). Tools: Scallop Oval Punch (107305), Large Oval Punch (107305), Double Rectangle Punch (105088), Sponge Daubers (102892), Stampin' Sponges (101610), Stampin' Dimensionals (104430). Non-SU!: White Crayon, Chocolate Hearts! Techniques: Crayon-Resist.
Plus, all the demonstrators contributed items for the door prizes. I made two packs of card candy.

The embellisments were made to co-ordinate with the Pink Flamingo and Candy Lane DSP's. So that the embellishments can be easily used by the recipient, I punched circles out of left over backing from dimensionals and stuck them onto the DSP. I then put dimensionals on each of the embellishments and stuck them onto the circles. The DSP was then slid into the bottom of the cellophane bag. When you want to use any of them, just slide out the DSP, lift off the embellishment and stick it on your project. Easy (hopefully)!
There were ten door prizes in all. Here is a photo of a selection of them...

Everyone I spoke to had a great time and are planning on coming to the next one. We are already sorting out a date for the next Extravaganza, so keep watching this space!

Stamps: Happy Moments (SAB 118786). Card/Paper: Pumpkin Pie (108601), Kiwi Kiss DSP (112161), Kiwi Kiss (116204), Whisper White (106549). Ink: Close To Cocoa (108600). Techniques: Faux Stitching.
And below is a variation on the above card, instead of creating a scallop frame and making a window in the card, the ones below have the image punched out and the scallop circle mounted on dimensionals.

I was really pleased with the Black 'n' White Christmas card I made in December, so I re-made it as a birthday card. Stamping and cutting out the flowers, then adhering them onto cardstock and re-cutting takes time, but it is worth it for the effect.
Stamps: Priceless (116402), Sincere Salutations (116416). Card/Paper: Basic Black (106561), Whisper White (106549), Ruby Red (106572). Ink: Basic Black (101179), Ruby Red (102259). Accessories: Basic Black 1/4" Grosgrain Ribbon (109027), Basic Black Jumbo Grommet (114348). Tools: Mat Pack (105826), Bone Folder (102300), Dimensionals (104430). Non-SU!: Stick-on Rhinestones.
You have seen this Upsy Daisy card before when I posted it early December...
Stamps: Upsy Daisy (115898). Card/Paper: Whisper White (106549), Riding Hood Red (116205), Candy Lane DSP (113980). Ink: Riding Hood Red (111836). Tools: Dimensionals (104430).
This Upsy Daisy card design comes from the Australian Stamping, Cardmaking & Papercraft Magazine (Vol 15 No 4), but I changed up the DSP and colours. Here are three more cards that were inspired by that page.

Stamps: Upsy Daisy (115898). Card/Paper: Whisper White (106549), Certainly Celery (108619), Washington Apple DSP (112461). Ink: Bashful Blue (), VersaMark (102283). Accessories: White Embossing Powder (109132), Bashful Blue 1/2" Striped Grosgrain Ribbon (110717). Tools: 1-1/4" Square Punch (104400), Dimensionals (104430).

Stamps: Upsy Daisy (115898). Card/Paper: Whisper White (106549), Chocolate Chip (108599), Candy Lane DSP (113980). Ink: Chocolate Chip (100908). Accessories: Chocolate Chip 1/4" Grosgrain Ribbon (111367). Tools: Dimensionals (104430).

Stamps: Upsy Daisy (115898). Card/Paper: Whisper White (106549), Night of Navy (106577), Windsor Knot DSP (112039). Ink: Old Olive (102277). Accessories: Night of Navy 1/4" Grosgrain Ribbon (109036).
The Upsy Daisy stamp set is really lovely and I enjoy using it.
For the January workshops we will be pairing this stamp set with the Butterfly Prints stamp set.

I made this Tic Tac Toe set a while ago but didn't get around to putting it up here. This project uses the Candy Lane DSP and Priceless stamp set to alter a tin CD case into a classic travelling game. To make each peice magnetic I punched out 1" circles from plastic-coated advertising magnetics and stuck them on the back. So hold on to those 'throw-away' magnetic you get from Real Estate Agent/Banks/Insurance/etc... they come in handy! Stamps: Priceless (116402), Defining Alphabet (116354). Card/Paper: Chocolate Chip (108599), Pink Pirouette (116203), Riding Hood Red (116205), Very Vanilla (106550), Candy Lane DSP (113980). Ink: Chocolate Chip (100908), Riding Hood Red (111836). Accessories: Chocolate Chip 1/4" Grosgrain Ribbon (111367), Silver Brads (104336). Tools: Scallop Circle Punch (109043), 1-3/8" Circle Punch (104401), 1-1/4" Circle Punch (104403), 1" Circle Punch (109046), Stampin' Dimensionals (104430).
Here is the Butterfly Prints stamp set and matching Butterfly punch from the Summer Mini again. This card was a swap I received from Juliette. I really love the design of this gate-fold card, also the colours, eyelets and ribbon. Also I love the inside where she has punched out the butterfly and inset a fussy-cut stamped butterfly. - Click HERE to contact me to get your own Summer Mini Catalogue or to place an order for the new Butterfly Prints stamp set and matching Butterfly punch.
I currently don't own this fantastic tool, but I have had a play with the Circle Scissors from the Summer Mini - it's a lot of fun! The Circle Scissor Plus allows you to cut a circle any size from 1" (2.5 cm) to 6" (15 cm). It is recommended that you use the Circle Scissors with the Glass Mat (also in the Summer Mini) as it gives you the best results and prevents damage to your Circle Scissors blade. Here is a great YouTube video made by a fellow demonstrator that will help you understand how this tool works. - Click HERE to contact me to get your own Summer Mini Catalogue or to place an order for the new Circle Scissors Plus and Glass Mat.
